SOIL MICROBIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry (SMB) is situated in the Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. It is a combination of Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry Laboratory and Environmental Science Laboratory. The SMB is doing pioneer research in Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir.
The SMB has developed many biofertilizers and revolutionized the field of agriculture. The labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, which are helpful in microbial screening and characterization. The SMB has produced several doctoral students who are serving the country in different universities and research institutions as researchers, lecturers, assistants, and associate professors.
The SMB has also completed several research projects, and is currently headed by Prof. Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir. The other staff members are Prof. Dr. Hafiz Naeem Asghar, Dr. Muhammad Naveed, Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan and Dr. Tayyaba Samreen.

Assuming science is to advance, what we want is the capacity to test, really in announcing the outcomes the outcomes should be accounted for without someone expressing what they would like the outcomes to have been.
